The Ed Lacey Award is open to all staff writers and freelance journalists, who during the year write a published feature or broadcast on Gibraltar. There is no limit on the number of entries that can be submitted by any one individual.
The award was started in 1999 in memory of the popular travel writer and broadcaster Ed Lacey, who died on 3rd August 1998 and who was a great friend to Gibraltar.
Submissions should be made by March 31st each year, accompanied by an application form and submitted to the press office. A winner is announced in June and will be presented with a prize giving service.
The prize awarded by the Gibraltar Tourist Board is a cheque for £500 and an original Gibraltar Crystal trophy.
