Conference & Incentives
There are many reasons why Gibraltar could be the perfect choice for your next conference or incentive trip; not least its location at the southern tip of Europe, overlooking Africa, which makes it quite simply 'the meeting place of continents'. Few locations offer such exceptional variety in one contained, safe environment.
Though Gibraltar is part of the EU, under the Treaty of Rome it is exempt from VAT. As a consequence The Rock, as Gibraltar is universally known, affords brilliant shopping opportunities for bargain hunting visitors. Furthermore, as a thriving commercial destination, it can respond to any business requirements quickly and efficiently.
The city offers a blend of the modern and timeless, whilst the relaxing air of the Mediterranean and the winding and bustling streets reflect the cosmopolitan mix of the Gibraltarian culture.
Gibraltar's compact size means that facilities and attractions are all easily accessible. The town centre is easily navigable by foot, while the transfer time to hotels from all points of entry is rarely more than fifteen minutes.
Gibraltar is accessible by land, sea and air. Daily direct scheduled air services originate from the UK and the flying time is approximately two and a half hours. Charter services can also be arranged privately. Malaga airport serves as another main entry point by air as you can fly there from most major cities. Transfer time from Malaga is approximately 1 ½ hours. The Rock is fast developing into one of the busiest ports of call for international cruise liners.
Gibraltar's fine hotels and range of conference facilities complement the destination's extensive heritage, which provides an abundance of things to do and see.
In addition to a selection of first class hotels and state-of-the-art conference facilities, Gibraltar offers an abundance of unusual venues ideal for product launches or conference settings with a difference. Foremost amongst these is St. Michael's Cave, a dramatic natural grotto filled with stalagmites and stalactites, which has an auditorium that can be used to stage events throughout the year.
Nightlife is equally varied, with a wide choice of lively restaurants and bars, and an excellent casino club where delegates can dance until the early hours or have a flutter at the tables.
There are two marinas in Gibraltar - Marina Bay and Ocean Village. Popular recreational activities include diving, fishing and sailing. Gibraltar's marinas also provide a relaxing environment for dining as a contrast to the bustle of the main city.

Thought to have attracted visitors since Roman times, St. Michael's Cave was long believed to be bottomless, giving rise to the belief that Gibraltar was linked to Africa by a subterranean passage. The cave consists of an Upper Hall with five connecting passages down to a smaller hall. The Upper Hall offers a dramatic and very different choice of conference or banqueting venue.
